TALK TO US

What happens after you ask us for a price?

Short answer

Send the form below or call (661) 430-7779. We visit the house, measure the room, open the cabinet under the sink and read the electrical panel, then prepare a written scope with real numbers. That scope is yours to keep whether or not you build with us.

A first visit to a kitchen staying inside its walls takes about an hour, and longer if you are considering moving the sink or removing the wall to the dining room. We measure the openings, the ceiling height and every cabinet run. The cabinet under the sink is emptied so we can check the valves, the trap and the wire feeding the disposal. We ask what you cook and how many people use the room at once, because those answers determine how wide the walkway must be and which side the trash pull belongs on.

You do not need drawings or a finished budget. If you have house plans, or paperwork from earlier bathroom work, have it available. The rest of what we ask is written out in the notes.

What we need to see

The cabinet under the sink
Clear it before we arrive if you can. The shutoffs, the drain height and the condition of the base floor affect the price more than the door style does.
The electrical panel
We read the labels and count the spare spaces. A range circuit, a microwave circuit and the counter circuits can leave an older panel without room, and that affects the price well before the cabinets do.
The attic hatch or the crawl space
This is how we confirm where the vent and the water lines run, rather than estimating them from below.
Somewhere to put a truck
A truck and a trailer stay outside during demolition. Tell us if your street is narrow or has nowhere to turn around, or if the driveway is shared with the house next door.
Worth knowing. Santa Clarita lists countertops, cabinets under eight feet, flooring and tile as work exempt from a building permit, then requires separate plumbing, electrical and mechanical permits for that same work. The duty to obtain them sits with the property owner, so we review what gets pulled, and by whom, before anyone signs. More in permits and inspections.

If your room matches none of these, say so and we will say which way it leans.

How far we drive

Most of what we build is in Saugus itself. Canyon Country, Newhall and Agua Dulce are close enough that we take work there regularly, and we travel further around the valley when the job warrants it. Ask and we will confirm whether your address is within the area we cover.

What you get in writing

A scope, not a single total. It lists what comes out, what goes back in, what we allow for cabinets and countertops, what we left out on purpose, and the order the trades arrive in. Take it to another builder and compare it line by line. That is its purpose. Before we meet, the cost page works through the 2025 Los Angeles metro averages, which are a regional benchmark and not our price for your house.

First name is enough.
Only if you prefer email to a call.
Do you charge for the visit or the scope?
No, and you keep the written scope either way. Measured drawings for permit review are separate work and we price them as such.
Can I do part of it myself?
Some of it. California lifted the minor work threshold to a thousand dollars in 2025, but the exemption only holds when the job needs no permit at all and the person doing it employs nobody. Anything involving the plumbing, the wiring or the vent falls outside that exemption at any price.
Who reads what I send?
The form goes to our own inbox. It is not stored in a database on the way, and no other company reads it. Calls we miss on site are returned from (661) 430-7779.

Send us the room as it stands

Photograph the sink wall and the corner cabinet you want changed, then send it. Most of what we need to begin is in those two pictures, and your details are handled as this page describes.
